CAULKING GUN GUIDANCE

FOR YOUR PROTECTION |

  • Check fittings and trigger components are secure and in good working order before each use.
  • Always work in well-ventilated, clean and well-lit area.
  • Keep hands and clothes away from the rod and the plunger area.
  • Keep children and unauthorised persons away from the work area.
  • DO NOT operate the gun if damaged.
  • DO NOT hold gun close to your face and do not point the gun at other persons or animals.
  • DO NOT use the gun for any purpose other than that for which it is designed.

FOR BEST RESULTS  |  Ensure caulking / adhesive manufacturer’s instructions are carefully followed.

Fully retract the rod plunger by pressing the plunger lock release trigger (located at the very back of the gun) and pulling back on the rod plunger.

Place the cartridge into the gun ensuring a good fit and then squeeze the main trigger several times until it braces the cartridge, but taking care not to over-pressure the cartridge.

Squeeze the main trigger and steadily glide the gun along the target in a smooth line while maintaining a 45-degree angle of application. One hand should apply steady pressure to the main trigger, while the other maintains a firm grip on the gun.

Maintain a steady hand and keep the strength of your triggering consistent to avoid inconsistencies or lumps in the application.

Applying appropriate lubricants to the moving parts of the caulk gun helps preserve its functionality. Always keep handles dry, clean and free from excess oil and grease.

CLEANING  |  Wipe with a damp cloth immediately after use and dry naturally. Hardened caulk / adhesive residue can impede smooth dispensing. Maintaining a clean gun achieves consistent and efficient caulk application, saving valuable time and effort.

STORAGE  |  Once dry, store in a dry, dust-free place to keep it in top condition for your next project.
